2025 Updates and Information
This year, we are offering 1 trip for students and residents with mentorship from US ISPO board members. There will be substantial hands-on experience with patients of a variety of different diagnoses and presentations. The Mexico trip will focus mainly on prosthetics care in a low income setting. Students will work one-on-one with mentors and patients. Applications open to student/resident members of US ISPO only. Mexico Service Learning Opportunity
Location: Querétaro, Mexico

Application Information: Applications are set to open in April 2025. About this experience: This trip will give US students and residents an opportunity to experience P&O care from a global perspective. Working closely with your mentor, you will see a variety of patients over the course of 1 week that include upper and lower extremity prosthetics . You will gain significant hands on experience in patient evaluation, casting, fabrication fitting, and follow up. Be sure to check out photos from the last trip in our photo gallery! Who can apply You MUST be a US ISPO student member to apply for this opportunity. Student membership is currently $50 for 2025, so take advantage! You must be competing or have completed a master's degree in a recognized P&O program or currently be completing your NCOPE residency.
