UNITED STATES ISPO NATIONAL MEMBER SOCIETY

WHO ARE WE?
US ISPO is a National Member Society of the International Society for Prosthetics and Orthotics (ISPO).

We are a multi-disciplinary organization comprised of persons who have a professional interest in the clinical, educational and research aspects of prosthetics, orthotics, physical therapy, occupational therapy, orthopedics, rehabilitation engineering and related areas.
US ISPO STATEMENT OF PURPOSE:
To lead rehabilitation related professionals, through our programs and by example, to disseminate and foster knowledge with the goal of improving patient care throughout the world.
TO ACHIVE THIS VISION, US ISPO:
Promotes and facilitates the care of people with physical disabilities worldwide by promoting guidelines for success. We help the helpers.
Is a resource for international information, materials, and expertise in rehabilitation by holding educational conferences, planning cross-cultural trips, and promoting research principals to improve patient care.
Endorses the comprehensive team approach, balancing efforts of a variety of disciplines. Though the the name contains Prosthetics and Orthotics, we believe a whole team is needed for patients to succeed and welcome a variety of professionals to our society.

 TEACH. LEAD. FOSTER.
