Every two years, the International Society for Prosthetics and Orthotics (ISPO) invites professionals involved in the care of persons in need of prosthetic, orthotic, mobility, and assistive devices to its unique and interactive flagship meeting, the ISPO World Congress. 

We look forward to seeing you in Guadalajara, Mexico for the ISPO 19th World Congress, from 24 to 27 April 2023.

US ISPO Statement of Purpose:
To lead our professions, through our programs and by example, to a world view that disseminates and fosters knowledge and patient care throughout the world.
To achieve this goal, US ISPO
  • Promotes and facilitates the care of people with physical disabilities world-wide.
  • Is a resource for information, materials and expertise by holding educational conferences, sponsoring scholarships, and promoting research.
  • Endorses the comprehensive team approach, balancing efforts of a variety of disciplines.

Code of Conduct for Humanitarian Organizations

We invite you to join us in developing this agreement intended to maximize the effectiveness of humanitarian and development assistance. Please read the Code of Conduct carefully and contact US ISPO if you have comments or suggestions as to how to improve the content, format, or wording. If you agree with the Code of Conduct in its current form, please fill out the Endorsement Form. Your organization will be listed among those who endorse the Code of Conduct, including a badge that will appear on your listing in the O&P Humanitarian Database.

Advocacy

Advocacy to raise awareness of the Prosthetics & Orthotics professions and the value of access to high-quality assistive health technologies is a strategic priority of ISPO’s Executive Board.
ISPO is striving to increase the recognition of the Prosthetics & Orthotics and rehabilitation profession, drive policy development in the Prosthetics & Orthotics and rehabilitation field, and develop and implement Prosthetics & Orthotics standards. These goals are to be achieved through key strategic advocacy measures.
